  • Recurrent infections
  • Blood in the urine
  • Urinating more frequently

Neither of these lists of symptoms can be considered an exhaustive list as there are many other symptoms which can suggest that you may have a urological problem. This is where we can help— offering the most current treatment options available to ensure you receive the best possible care, give Essex Urology Partners a call if you are experiencing these or other urinary symptoms.
Diagnostic procedures

When you present to us we will carry out a full assessment of your current urological health and your past medical history. We may then wish to carry out diagnostic procedures which will allow for both simple and complex urology problems to be identified and diagnosed. Such procedures include:

  • Blood tests – to monitor kidney function, prostate cancers and to check for sign of infection
  • Analysis of the urine – to highlight any infections, protein or blood within the urine
  • Ultrasound and CT imaging – to gain a non-‐invasive view of the urology system
  • Flow rate and residual volume assessment-‐ to assess for any signs of obstruction and how well the bladder empties
  • Urodynamic testing – which helps to assess those patients who have problems with urination such as incontinence
  • Cystoscopy – allowing us to identify any problems within the urethra and bladder
